mechanic says connecting rods and valves are bent. i'm going to look at it tomorrow. the engine died on me awhile back, during a road trip. it didn't make any unusual noises, but after i coasted to a stop, the engine was seized and the crank case is full of coolant. i am wondering whether the engine is rebuildable. the mechanic says he doesn't think it is, but he hadn't taken the crank out of the block. wouldn't the engine have to be completely disassembled, and crank and block examined to determine whether its rebuildable?
